Holiday Crazy

I am so pumped to see Chrissy on Tuesday, but I am even more excited to have the day off of work.

I love my job, don't get me wrong, but recently people have been a certain type of crazy. They've been holiday crazy, the I need to get my child the toy they dream of crazy. Honestly, I can't handle it anymore. I need the time off. One more screaming parent might just break my spirit. Luckily the season is almost over now. There is only about a week left in the return period and then things will go back to normal.

Any by normal I mean cut hours and no guests... Oh well, the grass is always green on the other side. Right now a couple of days off seems like a gift and I am not thinking of anything else.

Seven Months Later....

It's been seven months and some odd days since I graduated from college. I suppose it's time for a life update. I am about to finish my last week working as the site director for the YMCA after school program at Sardis...and I have no idea how I'm going to say goodbye to these kids. They have completely stolen my heart. I'm leaving them to finish out the school year as a long term sub for a special education resource teacher! I'm so excited to get back into the classroom!

I never dreamed that I'd be where I am now; and I especially never dreamed that I would meet a man like Michael. He treats me better than I ever thought I deserved to be treated, and I have never been so happy with my life.

The only thing that would make my life better (which is hard to imagine) would be to see Ash Lamp more than once every three months. I haven't seen her since I turned ancient...but I get to see her Tuesday!!!!!

The Times They Are A-Changin'

It seems like forever since we have seen each other and that's because it has been months. Literally, months. The amount of changes that have occurred in the past few months baffles me. Never in a million years would I have dreamed I would be where I am now.

There is nothing wrong with straying from the planned path though. I am so completely happy in my life at this moment in time. The only thing that could possibly make it better would be to see Chrissy more regularly. Hopefully now that my busiest part of the year is over we can make that happen. Really though, other than that I love my life. I love my job, I love that I am almost done with school, and I love the excitement of not knowing what is next. Real world here I come ready to embrace you.

Even though nothing in my life is the same as it was 6 months ago, I am open to the change. In fact I am waiting with my arms open for all the changes that are still to come.

On another note, this is what I am looking at right now.

T-Minus 2 Days

That's right, only 2 days until Chrissy turns "ancient".

That's straight out of her mouth... she wrote "Chrissy is ancient" in my planner for this birthday.

If she's ancient this year, what is she next year? Something to ponder...

Nitpicking

I prefer the to be called Ash Lamp.

Her bad!

One of the worst changes is never getting to see Ash :(

My bad...

So I kind of forgot about our blog... I am such a failure.

Everything has changed so much recently that it's been hard to cope. I love my life right now, don't get me wrong, but it's a lot of change all in one short time.

One of the best changes has been getting to live with my animals! You can't argue that they are adorable.

Where in the world is Ashley???

She left Dahlonega and fell off the face of the Earth. Ashley. If you're out there, it's your turn to Blog!!!

Tour of Dahlonega? You got five minutes?

I was showing the campus to a friend yesterday and we ran into Ashley as she was coming out of class. It was just like old times :) I am so going to miss that. Everyone says that your college years are the best years of your life, and now I know that they're right. The past four years had a huge impact on who I am and I have never been more glad that I went to this little school in the mountains.

In My Defense

Yes indeed, I did FaceTime you while on my date. Why? Because I was hoping you'd come to my defense in an argument that I was having with said date. Who, I might mention, is your boyfriend's best friend. Just so our readers know.

FaceTime?

Did Chrissy really just FaceTime me while on her date? Super awkward! Good thing I love her.

I'm in the process of getting ready to move out. I will be so happy once I get everything into my new place.

Hopefully, this next year will bring big things for both Chrissy and I.

New Phone 2

I can post from my phone now too!!!!

The. End. Of. An. Era.

I know, I know. I'm sorry. I haven't blogged in forever. Don't yell at me!

I graduated. It's over. Ashley is no longer my roomie. I can't even wrap my head around that.

Living as a college graduate is quite an experience. I am lucky enough to say that 7 interviews later, I have a job! Not as a teacher, and it is not a job that I interviewed for...but I am still employed! I'm going to be a site director for the after school program at an elementary school in Gainesville. I also recently signed a lease on an apartment in Dahlonega. AND I am about to go on a second date with a really sweet guy. I finally feel like my life is on track! Not to mention, I'm SUPER excited for the upcoming beach trip!!!!!

Okay, Ashley. You're turn!

Random Haul

So yesterday, Chrissy and I went shopping. Lots of fun.

Want to see what we got? Sure you do!

Dear Roommate,

I just realized that we haven't spoken in letter form in quite some time. Seems only right that we should change that. I'm so glad we decided to blog together because we are too funny. (Even if everyone else thinks we are dumb.)

The End.

Love,
Roomie

P.S. I just realized that we write in letter form on the mirror all the time... My bad.

What are We Doing?

You ask me what we are doing right now, we are making memories... That is what we are doing.

Candy Canes

Having candy canes left over from Christmas sounded wonderful. That is until my blueberry candy cane became possessed. Now I fear it...

You should fear it to.

Help!

I just got trapped in the elevator! Maybe it was because I was to stupid to press a button when I got in, but that is debatable.

Roommate.com/BestThe

Ashley is the best roommate ever. She went downstairs for more caffine. Granted, she took the elevator down one floor....but still, she went. Oh, I think I should legally change my name to Chrissy Kate.
That is all.
For now.

Lowering the Bar, Raising the Curve

That's how I feel when I blog on here...

"don't be mad at me, you're like my best friend"

So I just decided that I need to find a he man freak to be Chrissy's bodyguard. We shall call him bodyguard. He will be there to find her keys when I am not around. Among other things... She loses a lot of stuff. He should also be first aid certified because she is bound to hurt herself at some point. Also he cannot be too pale, she likes the outside. I will be taking applications starting now at lovemyroommate@wanttobeabodyguard.fun

Name Calling

Giving up is not an option. QUITTING IS FOR LOSERS! AshLey has an L in it, Loser.

Eat My Dust Ashley

Ashley and I have a new dream. We're going to be stand up comedians. Screw our majors. Except, while we laugh ourselves out of our seats, we think that maybe we're not quite as funny to other people. For instance, Ginger isn't laughing...but then again, he doesn't have a soul. So.....Who knows? We think that it would be best to recruit a room full of people who are USED to laughing at us...and yes I say AT us, not WITH us, to judge whether or not we are funny and entertaining enough to support ourselves. So, this message goes out to all of the Nickies, Patricks, Jenns, Shelleys, Jons, Kims, and Amys that have ever laughed AT us. We need your help!

"We Want YOU"

Uncalled For!

There is no need for tongue sticking. Just saying.

Love.com/roommates

Today was a Very Mary Kate marathon. Why, yes, our apartment was a funny place today.

I can't keep up anymore! I give up... I'll try again in a few minutes.

And Brunettes are Brown?

That was the most random post ever. EVER Ashley Gordon...EVER. But atleast you blogged. I have to give you credit for that. I've noticed that if something pops into my head...I tend to say it. I wonder how much trouble that will get me in one of these days. I've managed to steer clear of the big T word so far. Hopefully I'll stay lucky.
I'm sitting duty right now with Ash and Andy...aka Ginger...and the sounds of people dying are coming from the lobby downstairs. I'm not sure how I feel about this. Atleast I won't have to write an incident report. Haha Andy...Ha. Ha.
Oh, and Ashley...

Do I have to?

Chrissy says I do have to... Blog that is. I'm honestly not sure how I feel about this running and colliding thing, sounds like it could be painful. Seems like it's worth a try, our souls were totally meant to be one. Plus then we will always know where our keys are. This might cause some issues with our men, but they'll figure out how to deal.

Gingers have red hair. The end.

Mmmm....Cheese Dip

Ok...I'm blogging. Ashley says I have to. She also says I can't just write one sentence.
I have officially started my student teaching...my last semester in college. I am loving it, my students and my cooperating teacher are so amazing and sweet. I am absolutely going to love teaching this class. However, I also have to face the realities of graduating this May. On the up side, I won't be living in Dahlonega anymore. On the down side, I don't know if I'll have a job, or insurance....and perhaps the worst negative of all.....I won't be living with Ashley anymore. Talk about DEPRESSING. I'm never going to be able to keep up with my keys.
Ashley and I went on a spontaneous roommate date today, which was amazing. We ended up at Pueblos, we talked for over an hour while we munched two baskets of chips and cheese dip. Our "deep, meaningful" conversation ended in us deciding that we share two parts of the same soul that must have been separated when we were born to different mothers. We've decided that if we run straight at eachother and collide that our souls will rejoin and we will become one person. The most epic, well-balanced person who ever walked the Earth (besides Jesus). Not to mention, we'd be one fine looking lady with a perfect hourglass figure.
Okay Ash, your turn.
